I haven’t updated this blog about my comic activity for long while. Over the past couple of years there has been a slow accumulation of a people following my blog updates through the usual ‘social’ places. I thought it may be useful to give all these random musings and sketch posting a little context.
The photo shows all the comics i’ve self published since 2002 ( Excluding anthologies ). Just typing these words makes me realise how long I’ve been at this. It’s not a massive output of work in relation to the years, but there has always been a day job that has eaten up time.
At some point I would like to write about my experience with comic making, conventions, watching the growth of comics in the U.K. And what a growth. In 11 years which is nothing, really.
This was my first comic – Grey Sky ( 2002).
To be continued …
I have some comics in Gosh as part of free comic day.
Chris and Taylor have reviewed Same Day Return on the recent Pop culture hound podcast. You can read more about the comic here. It seems to have produced a really positive response from people. Thanks for reading.
As mentioned yesterday my comic shipment arrived. So it’s on for Thought Bubble. Details can be found here about were my Thought Bubble table is situated, and ordering online. This comic took nearly a year to complete but the extra time taken was worth it, to me. It was important to get another one of these diary comics completed, as I will be buried deep in the monster lair for a good part of next year. Anyway, day job onwards.
( I’m really looking forward to this weekend at Thought Bubble. Time goes by so quickly and there are so many good people that Irarely get to see now. it’s awesome that many of the people I started out with are getting the attention they deserve. Happy thoughts )
