Sketchbook – Shouty face
Sketchbook – 1983 plus full cover image
This is another page from the sketchbook collection. It’s called 1983 ( Surprise, huh !). That is the year that Black leather takes place in. Well the main part of it anyway. Below is the full image of the cover for the sketchbook. I realise that these images are not sequential and are probably of little interest to anyone expecting comics from me. But sometimes it’s important to step outside and get some fresh air.
The 1983 image was made by tearing up several ‘failed’ watercolours and joining them together again and painting over them with gesso and ink.
Sketchbook – back cover

Following on from yesterdays post this the back cover for sketchbook 3. Not sure what people will make of this stuff, but I like it because of the presence of colour.
Sketchbook 3 – coming soon
This is the cover for my next comic. It’s actually a collection of colour work, some of which have been posted on this blog. It will be A4 size an attempt by me to break out from the b+W A5 format. It should be available in the next week or so. Details to follow.
Sketchbook 2012 – Being 45
This is a page from my sketchbook after my birthday weekend. It still seems weird being 45.
Yesterday an interview and review piece was posted at Broken Frontier. Andy Oliver did a great job in making me sound more interesting than I actually am.
Have a great weekend !
Collage 2012 – Dump
Sketchbook 2012 – Take me away
This is the possible cover image for my sketchbook comic. It’s coming together slowly.
Sketchbook 2012 – Trees (again)
Sketchbook 2012 – pen and pencil
Sketchbook 2012 – untitled 2
Another clash of colour and line with ranty words that i hear everyday around london. I’m sure it’s all true. This is the last posting of these next week will be something different. I really have no idea what response these are producing, with this palette, probably projectile vomiting.
